Anfang Oktober unternahm ich die erste Wanderreise meines Lebens: \u201ePanoramawandern entlang der Rota Vicentina\u201c aus dem OLIMAR Reisen Programm. Etappe 3: Odeceixe – Aljezur (plus Abstecher Praia da Amoreira)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Diese insgesamt 24 Kilometer lange Etappe f\u00fchrt die ersten rund 12 Kilometer ausschlie\u00dflich fernab des Atlantiks an einem rund zwei Meter breiten Bew\u00e4sserungskanal entlang. Ich folge hier den wei\u00df-roten Markierungen, denn es handelt sich um eine Etappe des historischen Weges. Das Wasser ist glasklar und man kann gelegentlich kleine Fische darin entdecken. Au\u00dferdem h\u00fcpfen alle paar Meter vor mir kleine Fr\u00f6sche vom Rand ins Wasser hinein.<\/p>\n

Nach rund zehn Kilometern passiert der Weg den Ort Rogil. Hier treffe ich auf so viele ge\u00f6ffnete und gut besuchte Caf\u00e9s, wie in der Woche an allen Tagen zusammen nicht. Perfekt also f\u00fcr ein zweites Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck in einem schattigen Garten-Caf\u00e9 (“Museu da Batata Doce”), als Belohnung f\u00fcr die heute vergleichsweise etwas langweilig startende Etappe.<\/p>\n

Circa zwei Kilometer hinter Rogil an einer Gabelung entscheide ich mich f\u00fcr einen Abstecher auf den Fischerpfad. Denn dadurch habe ich die M\u00f6glichkeit, einen weiteren wundersch\u00f6nen Strand kennen zu lernen: den Praia da Amoreira. Ebenfalls an einer Flussm\u00fcndung gelegen und mit zwei empfehlenswerten Strand-Restaurants ausgestattet. Der Weg dorthin f\u00fchrt wieder durch eine wunderbare D\u00fcnenlandschaft entlang des Atlantiks, begleitet vom immer lauter werdenden Rauschen der Wellen.<\/p>\n

Ich verbringe eine mehrst\u00fcndige Mittagspause am Strand\u00a0 und auf der Terrasse des Restaurants Paraiso do Mar und trete dann den Weg landeinw\u00e4rts Richtung Tagesziel Aljezur an. Es geht haupts\u00e4chlich \u00fcber Schotterwege durch eine sehr abwechslungsreiche, gr\u00fcne Landschaft. Auch treffe ich auf die erste langgezogene Steigung, die mich m\u00e4chtig ins Schwitzen bringt. Denn auch von Schatten ist weit und breit keine Spur.<\/p>\n

Von der Bergkuppe aus kann ich dann erstmals einen Blick auf das wei\u00dfe Burg-St\u00e4dtchen Aljezur werfen. Ringsum saftig gr\u00fcne H\u00fcgel, landwirtschaftlich genutzte T\u00e4ler und au\u00dferdem in der Ferne die Berge der Serra de Monchique.<\/p>\n

Das Aparthotel Vicentina in der “Neustadt” Aljezurs ist meine Unterkunft f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten zwei N\u00e4chte. Von hier aus hat man einen sch\u00f6nen Ausblick auf die maurische Burgruine auf dem gegen\u00fcberliegenden Festungsberg.<\/p>\n
