Der Ursprung dieser feinen Geb\u00e4ck-Spezialit\u00e4t stammt ca. aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und, wie der Name schon verr\u00e4t, aus Bel\u00e9m, einem westlich gelegenen Stadtteil von Lissabon.<\/p>\n<p>Da Bel\u00e9m ohnehin f\u00fcr jeden Lissabon-Besucher zum Pflichtprogramm geh\u00f6rt (hier gibts den ber\u00fchmten Torre de Bel\u00e9m zu sehen und auch das Entdecker-Denkmal sowie das Hieronymus-Kloster), sollte meiner Meinung nach auch jeder Tourist mal einen Abstecher in die Rua Bel\u00e9m Nummer 84-92 machen. Von au\u00dfen ist das Caf\u00e9 relativ unscheinbar. Denn f\u00fcr Eilige gibts hier Past\u00e9is &#8220;to go&#8221;, und die scheinen bei Einheimischen und auch Touristen gleicherma\u00dfen sehr beliebt zu sein. Doch man sollte sich die Zeit nehmen und einmal tief ins mit Azulejos verzierte Caf\u00e9 hinein gehen und an einen der vielen Caf\u00e9-Tischchen Platz nehmen. Hier bestellt man dann Past\u00e9is de Bel\u00e9m mit einem Gl\u00e4schen s\u00fc\u00dfen Portwein. Man muss auch gar nicht lange auf die Bestellung warten &#8211; auf Tabletts werden die ofenfrischen T\u00f6rtchen von den vielen Kellnern massenweise durchs Caf\u00e9 und auf die Tischchen getragen. Wichtig: Die Past\u00e9is sollte vor dem Verzehr mit dem gereichten Puderzucker und Zimt bestreut werden. Und dann: einfach nur genie\u00dfen&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Die knusprigen Bl\u00e4tterteig-T\u00f6rtchen sind mit einer k\u00f6stlichen Pudding-Creme gef\u00fcllt, die aus Eigelb, Zucker und Sahne besteht. Das Original-Rezept ist jedoch streng geheim, was dazu f\u00fchrt, dass die Past\u00e9is einfach nirgendwo so gut schmecken, wie in Bel\u00e9m. Das liegt nat\u00fcrlich auch daran, dass sie hier jederzeit frisch zubereitet werden (man kann sogar einen Blick in die Backstube werfen). Am Tag werden &#8211; laut Info unserer Reiseleiterin &#8211; durchschnittlich 50.000 Past\u00e9is hergestellt.
